QM Browser based documentation |
Now that LadyBridge is providing an excellant web based documentation, I've disabled by version of the searchable documentation. Thanks for visiting. Please feel free to grab the AccuTerm code if you need it.
My first QM project
BADCHARS = \!"#&\ ; * leave '$%
BADCHARS = BADCHARS:\*+,-./\ ; * leave 0123456789 ()
BADCHARS = BADCHARS:":;<=>?[\]^_`|~\" ; * leave @ {}
I decided to NOT exclude $%()@{} because some commands, functions, statements, etc. included them. Pretty much any word greater that 3 characters have been indexed on. The program uses a list of words, etc. that are 3 or less than 3 to include especially if it is a command, function, statement, etc. If you find any NON-Indexed word that you believe should be included please email me and I'll add it to the words to INCLUDE. Please also offer comments, criticism, etc. via the above email as well. Our thanks and appreciation go out to: Ladybridge, EasyCo, AccuSoft Enterprises and all contributors, coders, and document writers of QM. Everyone have fun and enjoy. Oh, one other note. The URL you're hitting is just one of my websites. I typically combine Apache and Coyote for the things they do best. This system is hosted by EasyCo. One thing they understand is your need to come in as root or whatever you'd like. Some of the other Linux hosting companies I've tried restrict access, package loading, etc. EasyCo gives you a virtual Linux environment that you can even reboot if need be. |

Using AccuTerm file transfer: What I've done: I've being using AccuTerm since its infancy. It began as a DOS application and evolved over the years into the 'Windows' environment. I use it with every MULTI-VALUE platform I develop on. Those include: Mentor PRO, mvBASE, AP/PRO, D3/linux/windows, Unidata, and now QM. It's great to work with something that's evolved over the years just like 'multi-value' has. Since I develop in multi-environments, I typically use AccuTerm in the 'offline' mode. I work in Windows XP Professional and create directories to emulate the ACCOUNT:FILE environment of the multi-value database. If you check out the 'File Transfer' driver program you'll notice its use of the 'AccuTerm' subroutine. I always install the MULTI-VALUE AccuTerm programs on the HOST system and use the Windows 'wED' program in combination. AccuTerm allows you to use WED at TCL within MULTI-VALUE if you'd like. I prefer the offline method for a couple of reasons. One side feature of using it this way is I always have a backup in case the MULTI-VALUE system fails for some reason. I can can also zip, ftp, email, etc. Feel free to copy and use the code in any way you'd like. Please email me with any comments, suggestions, criticisms, or praise. Our thanks and appreciation go out to: Ladybridge, EasyCo, AccuSoft Enterprises and all contributors, coders, and document writers of QM. Everyone have fun and enjoy. |
